Hi Mobbu/Rodcorp blog
Thanks for mentioning my blog about Mobile as the 7th Mass Media, being as much superior to the classic legacy internet, as TV is to radio.
I appreciate it that you found the blog entry confusing, and I am most alarmed, that you found the text of my blog to deliver an opposite meaning to what the headline is. Many other bloggers have commented on this being an excellent piece, so I am particularly interested in why you felt it was confusing.
I could not understand from your short comment here, what you meant. Could you please explain to me a bit more, what in the blog is confusing, where did I lose you, where did the message become twisted into the opposite meaning of the headline. Nobody else has commented on this - but I am sure if you feel this way, there must be many others who are also confused. And I'd like to revise the blog to be as clear as possible.
I do mean that mobile is inherently superior to the (legacy, ie PC based) internet. I do mean that the mobile as a mass media is also different from the web (and TV) as we know it. I don't see these as inherent contraditions. I also explain in the original article to considerable degree what are the 5 unique benefits of mobile that none of the older 6 mass media - including internet - can match.
Please advise, I want my blog to be clear, and I don't want my headlines to be misleading.
Thank you

Hi Tomi, my sincere apologies if the summary above seemed rude.
In brief, I don't think the content is too confusing, but the headline was for me. If you don't believe that tv is inherently better than radio (and I don't), then the sentence "mobile as the 7th mass media is as much superior to the internet, as TV is to radio" means exactly the opposite of that intended.
Secondly, as I don't believe that mobile/tv is inherently better than internet/radio, I happily with your statement that "mobile is not a 'small internet', it is a NEW mass media. As different from the internet as TV is from radio", and to a certain extent with your "mobile adds five elements not possible on the previous six mass media," but not with your conclusion ", making the mobile the inherently superior mass media".
Nonetheless it was a great post, and the five mobile qualities you point out are well worth examination. Many more words on all of this on my work site, here: http://www.mobbu.com/Blog/34/mobile-internet-if-tv-radio
