Rabbit-Duck (after Wittgenstein)

Rabbit-Duck (after Wittgenstein)

The duck-rabbit and rabbit-duck were responses to discussion of the Jastrow duck-rabbit figure by both Gombrich and Wittgenstein, and the question of whether it was truly a 'binary' image or not. Wittgenstein suggests there's a little more going on than simply flipping between seeing one aspect or the other.

Photoshop on Mac was used to clean up images of a duck and a rabbit, after which the beak and ears were transposed.

This work and commissions are for sale.

Medium: Black and white photocopy, A0-sized, 1995.
